Johanna Fröhlich, senior researcher at the Research Institute for Politics and Government of the Eötvös József Research Center joined the academic debate about the current constitution-making procedure on the Popular Hungarian news outlet Válaszonline.
"Until the entire political elite is not able to behave as a true community, it will not manage to embody the trust it requires from society to accept a new constitution, and thus we cannot have a good constitution. Until the constitution does not move away from politics and returns to the rule of law, instead of being a legal and moral framework for communal coexistence, it will become a cyclically replaceable political manifesto of the current political power.”
