Ferenc Hörcher gave lectures in America and France

Ferenc Hörcher, research professor at the Ludovika University’s Research Institute for Politics and Government, organized and spoke at a conference in the United States of America. The conference, titled 'Prospects for Anglo-American Conservatism in the Tradition of Russel Kirk and Roger Scruton', is part of a series on intellectual conservatism organized with Daniel Pitt, an external fellow of the Research Institute for Politics and Government, and previously with Phillip Blond, a visiting professor at Ludovika University. This year, Jeff Nelson and the Russell Kirk Center were co-organizers, with the Gerald Ford Presidential Foundation hosting the event in Grand Rapids.

Hörcher’s lecture was titled: 'In defence of traditional British culture. Scrutonian and Kirkian themes in Richard Hoggart’s left wing, conservative thought'.

 

 

Subsequently, Hörcher participated in the summer university of the New Direction think-tank, founded by Margaret Thatcher, held in France at Château de Thorens in Fillière, organized in collaboration with ISSEP, titled 'The Roots of European Conservatism'.
